[ September 9, 2009; 6:00 pm; ] The King County Council announced Wednesday (Aug. 25th) that it is mulling over some pretty-serious sounding emergency preparations for a “worst-case scenario” if the Howard Hanson Dam floods and threatens cities below it (including Tukwila) with a flood level projected to be “as high as 10 feet.”

First it was SeaTac Airport’s new third runway, and now KOMO News is reporting that Sound Transit’s new Link Light rail system is too loud.

Sound Transit has begun intensive testing of the light rail system, running trains from Tukwila International Blvd. Station to Stadium Station. This is in preparation for passenger service beginning Saturday, July 18th.
