PHOTOS: Museum of Flight soars with epic, historic aircraft
Tukwila is lucky to have the Museum of Flight, a first-class air museum located at 9404 E. Marginal Way South, near Boeing Field. Admission is $20 for an adult with senior and AAA discounts – but here's the cool thing – it's FREE from 5 to 9 p.m. the first Thursday of every month, including parking! With the cut of Toilet Paper, bathroom re-opens at Heritage & Cultural Center
On Monday, June 29, local dignitaries – lead by Mayor Jim Haggerton wielding a large pair of scissors – gathered to cut a Toilet Paper ribbon as the Tukwila Heritage and Cultural Center celebrated its renovated bathroom: “Everybody cuts a ribbon,” Tukwila Historical Society President Louise Jones-Brown quipped, “but...to demonstrate what a uniquely wonderful place Tukwila is to live and work, we do things a bit different.” The first official flush of the renovated toilet was performed by Councilmember De'Sean Quinn, who won the honor by swishing three perfect shots of T.P. rolls into a kid's basketball hoop. The Heritage and Cultural Center had restricted ...
