Man shot at gas station dies from injuries; Renton man arrested

On Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at about 12 a.m., Tukwila Police Officers in the vicinity of Southcenter Blvd and Tukwila International Blvd heard the sound of an illegal discharge.

Police say that a 32-year-old male from Tukwila – with life-threatening injuries – was located by officers in the parking lot of a gas station in the 15200 block Tukwila International Blvd. (map below).

The victim was rushed to Harborview Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries.

Tukwila Police Officers arrested a 24-year-old male from Renton in connection with the shooting. A 9mm firearm that had been reported stolen during a burglary in Monroe, WA was recovered at the scene along with multiple shell casings.

The suspect was booked into jail on a charge of Murder in the 2nd Degree.

Police add that, during the investigation, a 26-year-old male from Kent repeatedly tried to enter the crime scene and refused to follow multiple commands to remain outside of the crime scene. He was arrested for Obstructing a Public Servant. He also had a felony warrant out of the King County Sheriff’s Office for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and was booked into jail.
