‘Age Wave’ Candidates Forum will be held at Tukwila Village Friday, Sept. 14

AARP WA will be holding an ‘Age Wave’ Candidates Forum for South King County at The Sullivan Center at Tukwila Village on Friday, Sept. 14.

The ‘Age Wave’ is both an opportunity and a challenge. It is a wonderful thing that people can now expect to live 20 to 30 years beyond the traditional retirement age of 65. And, the reality is that this growing aging population is putting pressure on state-funded services and infrastructure.

The Age Wave Forum is an opportunity for all to hear about key issues and implications for an aging demographic. Hear from legislative candidates on their proposals and ideas to meet the challenges of the Age Wave.

Hear perspectives of state legislative candidates from South King County’s 11th, 30th, 33rd, 34th, 37th, and 47th districts, and East King County’s 5th, 41st, 45th, and 48th districts.
