TUKWILA – A man shot to death at a traffic light here Feb. 20th has been identified as Allen Winston-Stewart, the adoptive brother of college basketball twins Lodrick and Rodrick Stewart (previous coverage here).
The King County medical examiner’s office confirmed that King Winston-Stewart, 24, died after being shot in the face inside a car just after 9 p.m. Feb. 20.
No arrests have been reported.
Lodrick Stewart plays at Southern Cal. Rodrick Stewart is a reserve senior at Kansas.
Winston-Stewart, like his twin brothers, attended Rainier Beach High School and played basketball. He started one game in the 3A state tournament in 2002. He also ran track.
His coach at Rainier Beach, Mike Bethea, said Winston-Stewart had stopped by in the previous week with his newborn son.
“He was one of those kids that was never going to be the big superstar like his brother, but it didn’t bother him,” Bethea said. “He was the best teammate. He’d root everyone on and push them to be better.”
