Historic Tukwila Farm House Rescued and Moved

Tukwila’s historic “Wietzel House” was rescued by Tawny Davis and her husband Ian in late December, by moving it from Tukwila through a portion of Kent, and on to Renton for barge delivery to Seattle, just North of Seward Park:

The route of the move:

The Seattle portion of the route started at the barge-landing location on Lake Washington Blvd S, just North of Seward Park. The house traveled South on LWB and turned West on S Orcas St. It then went one block to 57th Ave S and traveled approximately 1/2 block to the receiving site at 5442 57th Ave S.

This historic home has been a prominent Victorian Farmhouse beauty that people have admired for years, perched on S. 180th St. adjacent to the new Kent/Renton main railway bridge (between Ikea and Home Depot in Kent Valley).
